An extra 17.4% for gas and 10.8% for electricity has been added to energy bills in the latest round of price hikes. The average annual bill has hit £1,287, with bill payers using around 40% of their annual usage during the winter months.
Would you throw take £100 out of the cashpoint and throw it down the drain? Of course not! But that’s exactly what many of us are doing when it comes to our utility bills.
Ever been bamboozled by your energy bill? Don’t panic, help is on its way
